Essential Oils and Their Benefits

So, I’m sure you’ve probably heard about essential oils, at least once in your life, and what they can do for you. But do you know about all the certain types and how they can benefit you? If not, this article is for you and here are some tips on how to use them!

The first one I want to talk about is peppermint oil. In my opinion, this is one of the best essential oils as it can help in numerous different ways and make your life so much easier. If you have IBS, nausea, a cold, headache, etc., putting this on can help relieve and/or minimize the effects that they may have on you. Any type of pain can be diminished at least a little bit just by putting this on your temples or other pressure points. Even if you don’t have anything that peppermint oil could help you with, the smell itself is enough to make you want to use it whenever possible!

The second essential oil I would like to mention is lavender. Lavender is the most well known essential oil that is proven to help with anxiety, depression, insomnia, and other disorders. This herb can be found in many other products ranging from soaps and makeup to different foods.

Tea tree oil is a pretty far up on the list along with lavender and peppermint because of the number of things it’s used for. It makes a great hand sanitizer because of its ability to kill different types of bacteria, a good all-purpose cleaner, and insect repellent. It’s great for the purposes of getting rid of dirt and germs, and it also smells great. I highly recommend getting tea tree oil to help as it’s a natural solution (no chemicals) and won’t hurt anything while giving its benefits.

I also recommend Frankincense as it has benefits of both tea tree oil and peppermint. Not only is it good for cleaning purposes, but it can also help with different  digestive problems.

Eucalyptus is the last type I want to talk about, and I think it’s great because of its benefit for sinuses. If you have any type of seasonal allergies, this can be a great help. Allergies can be a huge annoyance and since it can’t be directly cured, using this on top of other medications can help reap the best effects.

Choosing the essential oils best for you really depends on what type of scents you prefer and which ones you would be able to use more often. It’s very important that you test all of these before using to make sure you’re not allergic. It would also be good to invest in an essential oil diffuser to get the most out of the benefits and spread the aroma further. I would also really encourage you to look into how they can help you and invest in getting many of the different types for natural remedies. If you’re still not interested, at least you now have some more information on them and when you come in contact with them, know what they’re used for.
